White Oak and Red Deal Cut String

Beautifully finished white oak and red deal (painted) cut-string staircase, a classic design with a modern twist. By using square chamfered newel posts and spindle this gives it the clean lines that comtemporary fans adore.

This design started with a large double base step followed by a double bullnose step. They opted to use white oak in the treads, pyramid newel caps and the handrail, leaving the rest of the components in red deal suitable for painting.
